The people accountable for the result.
McGrane Construction Group is run by two brothers who answer their own phones, walk their own jobs, and sign their own punch lists.
Buildings never match the drawings.
Repair documents get written before anyone opens up the slab. Once demo starts and the concrete comes out, the job you bid is never exactly the job in front of you. What matters is what the contractor does next.
Our answer: document the condition, get it in front of the engineer and the board, agree on the fix, and keep moving. No burying field conditions, no informal patches that someone else discovers in five years, no decisions passed through three layers of people who never set foot on the property.
Protect the building. Keep the property running. Finish the work the right way.
Who you're actually hiring.
Colin and Dylan stay on your project from scope review to closeout. The relationship doesn't get handed off after the contract is signed.
Colin McGrane, PE, PMP
Colin is a licensed professional engineer. He reads the repair intent behind every spec, reviews sequencing and quality control in the field, and makes sure the work that goes in matches the engineering, so the finished system performs the way it was designed to.
Dylan McGrane
Dylan runs operations: scheduling, crews, client communication, and day-to-day field coordination. When a board member or property manager has a question, Dylan is the one who picks up, and the one who already knows the answer.
Engineering judgment belongs in the field.
Scopes get written before every condition is visible. Once demo opens the building up, someone on site has to understand the repair intent, not just the line items.
Read the repair as a system
Concrete, rebar treatment, waterproofing, sealants, and coatings have to work together. Each stage gets reviewed against the next.
Verify before covering
When uncovered conditions don't match the documents, we stop, document, and confirm the right repair before anything gets closed back up.
Sequence the whole job
Access, demo, repair, cure times, waterproofing, inspections, and resident impact run as one schedule, not five separate ones.
Escalate to the right people
Open conditions go to the board, manager, or engineer early, while there are still options, not after the fact.
The job isn't done when the crew leaves.
We carry every project through final punch, documentation, and closeout. When conditions change, they get documented and raised. When a decision affects cost or schedule, it gets addressed directly with the people paying for it.
When construction wraps, the property gets a clean record of what was done, where, and why, which matters more than ever now that inspection reports and reserve studies follow a building for decades.
